Wind Energy Fiberglass Applications

Twisted fiberglass yarns and direct roving are used in lightweight construction in the growing wind energy industry worldwide, and they have been integrated into numerous wind energy applications over the years.

Wind power materials

Rotor blades and nacelles for wind power generation are based on composite materials made of resin-compatible E-glass yarns. Fiberglass composite parts achieve high strength at low weight, so long, more efficient rotor blades for more giant wind turbines can be manufactured cost-effectively.

Glass fiber reinforced rotor blades are available in lengths up to 80 m/262 ft and can be used in different environments in onshore and offshore wind turbine installations.
